Dogs Go Home [pictures] [dogs]

Hey folks!
Exploring the camera
Well, it finally happened. While down in NJ visiting family we went to visit my sister and fell in love with the cutest little puppies. We wound up getting three beautiful 4-month old puppies, all from the same litter. They're just starting to learn their names and almost have the paper thing down, but they're so cute and lovable that its not a big hassle to clean up after them, and train them.

The smallest of them is Piglet, and he's constantly fighting with his brothers over food and such. When they play, Piglet is the quickest Protecting Piglet one, but usually winds up not holding on to the toy they're playing with, even if he gets there first. When it comes to food and treats though he doesn't play around. He's the first one at the bowl, and he'll growl and nip at his brothers if they try to get to the food while he's eating. We're trying to train him away from that, but in the mean time his brothers are waiting to him to leave to get their food. (He's a little dog, so he can't eat all that much.)

The totally black one is Shadow. He's the most playful and explorative of the bunch, and has the most energy. He wants to know what everything is, and loves to explore. He's been the first to figure out how to get into the cupboards, how to get off the couch, and how to do just about everything we try to stop him from doing. The others usually follow his lead when it comes to something new to explore. Hey, whats that?

The last one is Mancha. He and Shadow are almost twins, but Mancha has one white foot. Mancha is decidedly the Alpha male of the three of them, and is a little less high strung than the other two. The others will usually take their cue from Mancha when it comes to things like getting up, barking, and eating. What ever Mancha does, the other two usually want to do as well, at the same time. The only time Mancha isn't in charge is when exploring something new. He sits back and watches Shadow take the risk, then decides if it's worth looking into himself.
We'll have more of the new puppies as time goes on, but for now, theses little angels are spending lots of quality time with each other, and with us. Look for more pictures and pages here in the future!
